Challenge

FLYR sought to break beyond the aviation trade press and gain recognition as a leader in the travel tech industry, showcasing its impact on airlines, hotels, and travel experiences.

Business Impact

We developed a comprehensive strategy to elevate FLYR’s profile, securing top-tier business press coverage and positioning its executives as industry thought leaders. By highlighting FLYR’s role in reducing travel disruptions through AI-driven forecasting and data solutions, the team expanded media attention beyond the aviation trades.

This groundwork paid off when FLYR’s Series D was announced in August 2024; the team secured an exclusive in Bloomberg along with coverage in business-audience publications like The Information, WSJ, Fortune, Axios, Crunchbase, Forbes and more – alongside the travel trades that FLYR customers and prospects read like Skift, Phocuswire and Airport Technology.

We have continued to build on this momentum with additional speaking opportunities, customer announcements, and product news. They have also kicked off a quarterly series leveraging FLYR’s customer data on hotel occupancy to find unique, more consumer-facing travel stories that we’re using to boost name recognition, and reach in the hospitality and travel press.

The success of the FLYR initiative was driven by the SBS Comms team, who 829 is excited and proud to have merged with.
