Release the first commercially-safe video model to the masses

Business Impact

Moonvalley is an AI research company building foundational AI video models. SBS supported their launch strategy of Marey, the world’s first commercially-safe model trained on licensed-content. We are also elevating Asteria Film Co. — a Hollywood film studio acquired by Moonvalley — as a proof point of how AI can enhance, not replace, creative talent.

In the span of 9 days, Moonvalley announced the hiring of entertainment industry veteran Ed Ulbrich, the launch of public access to their model Marey, and their funding extension round. There have been more than 140 original pieces of coverage of the three announcements, across Reuters, TechCrunch, Business Insider, Forbes, Variety, TIME, The Ankler, and TheWrap.

SBS’ work with Moonvalley continues as the conversation around AI in Hollywood ramps up, securing thought leadership and speaking engagements to unpack how technology is disrupting the long-standing film industry.
